Using up strips of card

Firstly may I say a big welcome to Megan who has joined my band of followers.
Do pop over and say hello to her.

I got out my punches this week as now I have reorganized my
craft room I am determind to make use  of everything.
A couple of those little strips of left over card
can make all the difference.

I could have added pearls to the borders but decided the ones in the flowers were enough.

So I am going to pop this card onto

Pixie's Snippets playground and go and join the fun.

Thanks so much for dropping in and come back soon.

A Wedding in the family

The secret is out Nathan our eldest grandson married his lovely Meagan
in a beautiful outdoor setting with just a small family group present.
The first wedding in our family for over 30 years!
So you can guess how excited I was.
But we had to keep the secret for so long as the wedding took place
on March 19th but their engagement party was not until March 26th.
When they announced they were already married!
So I had had to carry that secret around since before last Christmas.

So now I can show you the cards that I made for them.

The heart doily I have had for years and the roses
are from SB Rose Creation cut from some lovely cream linen card
From Bevs Cross Crafts you will find her HERE.
The ivy and the corners are from Sue Wilson dies.

I quilled and shaped the wedding bells.

The words and the bridal couple are from a set by Beccy Muir and the
small card I made to hold a personal message.
Here is hoping you all had as lovely an  Easter as I did.

Christmas card no.3

A very happy Easter Sunday to you all.
Also a big welcome to Barb my newest follower.

I really need to get a wriggle on or I shall never get all my
cards made in time for Christmas.
This is no.3 no sorry no 4. I clean forgot I posted one last time.

I found this cute little Penny Black image already coloured
and the words were already cut out in a box so very easy to put together.

Challenges.

Enjoy the rest of your long weekend.

Look who came to breakfast

Autumn sunset over Hobart taken from my back door.

Then look who came for breakfast the next day

We often get 2 to 6 Galahs in the park over our back fence but
this was only about a quarter of the flock that arrived today.
You can tell by the non existent grass we are still without rain.
Don't ask me what they feed on but as they grub around in the soil I would
guess it is roots.
The Magpies here often dive bomb them but they don't even bother to duck.
You could walk past and they wont move.
There is only one thing on their mind " food".

Thought you might like to see this card I have made with a few odds and ends.

The background was a left over piece of SW Bed of Roses EF that
I swooshed with Spun Sugar DI
The pink silver edged satin ribbon was the last on the roll
and when I was looking for something to finish the card what did
I find but a bow in the self same ribbon.
I do have a box full of bows from oddments of ribbon.
Always good for finishing off a progect.
The 3D floral sticker comes from the Dollar shop
I was in the shop this morning and very tempted to buy more.

Challenges.

Here is wishing everyone a Happy Easter.  Enjoy and not too much chocolate.

A Day for Daisies

Sorry I have been AWOL for so long but DH has not
been  well,  I think with a viral infection which
he passed on to both me and our daughter.
But all is forgiven and we are all much better now.
I haven't been idle as
I have also been making a wedding card but more about that a little later
Here is the card I have for you today.

Yes I have been rather naughty and shopped again.
The lovely Sue Wilson daisy cluster die.
I teamed it too with a CP 2 daisy punch.

Entered in

Here is also another card I made using the daisy cluster die

I teamed this one with the Spellbinders Poinsettia

Thanks for dropping in and for all your lovely comments.
