Love is in the air

My great nephew is getting married next week and this is the card I have made
for the happy couple.

I started off intending to make this white on white
but somehow it has turned into cream on white.
Cards seem to have a habit of taking over at times.
Does anyone else suffer from that I wonder?
I embossed the sentiment with Silver Prisma embossing powder
that I have had for ever and a day.
I always thought that embossing powder went off after
a while but what I have still seems to work.
The diamond embossing folder is a Couture one.
The die is SB detailed scallops
The flowers may be Prima and the silver leaves I cut out of
a length of ribbon.
The butterfly was a freebe die with a magazine
and the ribbon was from my stash.
I have blinged it up with pearls.
Now to make a box for it and send it on it's way.

Thanks for your visit don't forget to say hello.

Flutterby birthday

There are so many Piceans among my family and friends
including me but I think I have just about
got them all sorted out now.
Here is the latest.

Butterflies everywhere.  The paper is by Jennifer Ellory and
was a freebe with  a magazine.
The stamp is a Kaiser one that I have inked with DI Faded Jeans
Used the same ink for the sentiment
which I embossed with a sparkly clear powder.
the big butterfly is a MS punch
the small butterfly punch I have had for years.
Have followed the Sketch at Suzi B's challenge

It's raining flowers

I love the colour challenge on House of cards that
I just had to make another card and just scraping in before the deadline me thinks.

Think you will have to click on the picture to get a good look at it.
It is so not finished as I still have the inside to complete
and make a box for it.
This is the first time I have inked up this stamp it is so cute
I add dimension to the lady bird and a spot of glitter to the flowers.

This is for my daughters birthday in 3 weeks time.

Challenges:

Thanks for dropping in and for all your lovely comments.

Penny Black Bunny

Much too hot for me today and the whole state is under a total fire ban.
It is Regatta day and also Hobart cup day but for me
an inside by the cooler day.

This is the card that I have made for my niece.
We share our birthdays next month,
so you would expect me to remember her birthday
But I am always late.  Not this year.

Pastel person that I am I just love the colours.
Have taken them from the pictorial inspiration on House of Cards.
Didn't want to cover  the beautiful backing paper that is a
really old one that I haven't wanted to cut up.
Still have one piece left.  Also cut out 1 rose for the inside.

Challenges:

Thank you for dropping in you are most welcome.

Labels 23.

Here is a card made with SB Labels 23.
The background paper is some of the first pattern paper
I ever had it was by Penny Black
and I still have a few different A4 sheets left.
In those days it was just too nice to cut we never expected to
be so spoiled for choice with patterned paper as we are now.
The beaded oval just fits nicely,
I sponged round the outside with pink Brilliance.
The leaves are part of MFT Lavish Branch.
The bow is ribbon that I have had for years and have
just found out how to tie a bow with a
Bow easy only now I can't find mine isn't it always the way.
I didn't set out to make this card for anyone in particular but now it is finished
I know just who is getting it for their birthday  next month

Sparkling

This looks crooked now but it must be an optical illusion
might be the angle I took the photo.
Simple design and lots of sparkle.
The ribbon I have had for years in my stash.
Why do we hoard these things?
S o I kept the sparkle going by embossing the sentiment
with some rainbow sparkle powder some of the first
I ever bought.
Mounted this on shining gold card
and added some Green gems from Bo Bunny.
This is the sketch from 52 CCCT that I followed.
