A touch of the Blues

Picasa has updated on my computer and I have been pulling my hair out
trying to find out how to blog this picture.
I didn't let it beat me I am not called a
Technology-savvy granny { thanks Riette} for nothing.
Just as you get used to a programme they jolly well update and you have to
learn it all over again.GRRR

This poor lass and her hair.  I didn't intend to cut her out but
I coloured her in at a craft group and the lighting was so bad when I got home
she had more spikes than intended in her hair so there was nothing for it.
She had to be cut out.  This photo is not really doing her justice.
She and the frame are both 3D mounted and the DP is some beautiful Bo Bunny
that you really can't see properly.
Decided to have a change from Square today and as I have a stack of
card envelopes {everyone saves them for me} I made this to fit
in a lovely blue envelope.

Really made it for us down South who are heading into winter.

Tilda with a flower.

We had a touch of winter last week and I for one did not like it thankfully it has brightened up
but the clocks go back next weekend BooHoo.
However next week I am going to Devonport to catch up with my friend up there and hear
all about her trip to CHA in January
and spend up big on all the new stuff in her shop.

Thought I would bring out  a Tilda for a change this time long time since I inked this one up.
This DP I have had for ages think I brought it back from
Sydney last time I was there must be 3 years ago now.
I have used my MS doily lace border punch and an EK corner punch.
Too many things laying around in my craft room that I haven't used for ages.
The butterfly punch is one where the butterfly is in a circle so I cut it out.
It is rather cute again I haven't used it for ages

The flowers are the Retro flower punch that I love and I have put some
liquid pearls in the centre of the flowers.
Tilda of course is coloured with my copics and her shoes
have dimensional magic on them and have stickled the flower and hem of her pettie.

Am entering this in:

Diamond Wedding Card

I have had my sister from NSW staying for the past week so if you missed me that is the
reason I have not been around.

Was asked to make a card for a 60th Wedding Anniversary
and this is what I have come up with.
Decided to do white on white but it looks better with the touch of green.
The flowers are white and glittered with diamond stickles.
Can only assume that it is the reflection from my lamp that gives them the touch of pink.
The 60 I have to confess my S-I-L drew for me as I was not happy with my efforts.
But here again it had to be mounted on the
pale green shimmer paper for effect.
The little bells also have diamond stickles on the inside.
Hope you like it.

Am entering this into:
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge- Doily's are not just for cakes.
Make it Monday- Anything goes linky party.

One stop craft challenge- Hand made flowers

Christmas card no 2.

When I saw this sketch on the Creative Belli blog I thought it would be idea for
a Christmas card and I had some of my Angel's already coloured waiting to go.

Apart from the actual base card all the rest was made with last years left overs
I have plenty of them so will have to make more.
My little Angel's are coloured with copics and their wings and the clouds have been
covered in crystal stickles with diamond stickles for the stars in their hair.
Had to find the smallest greeting I could to squeeze in.
The rhinestones have been coloured with copic GY23 and around the edges
of the image and greeting.

I am entering this in:

Make it Monday - Linky Party where anything goes
Crimbo crackers challenge 10 - Must be Christmas and female
Crafts and me - Things with wings.

Thanks for dropping in you are most welcome,

Here comes spring...........

Posted by Picasa
Not for us in the south at the moment it feels just like winter hopefully it
will improve as my sister is coming on a visit and she is from NSW
where they have had a very wet summer so it would be good to give her a little taste of sun.

It was my birthday today and what a wonderful surprise I had when we went out to lunch
who should be there but my one and only grand daughter who we haven't seen for months.
She lives on the big Island

Well onto todays card I have tried to give you a card full of sunshine with a lovely clear blue sky.
some daisies I made yonks ago and that lovely blue ribbon that has been waiting to be used.
The faux stitching was done with a tombow and the punch is an EK success.
This is another of my favorite Penny Black stamps and you can  almost see the paw
itching to take a swipe at one of those birds.

Am entering this in:
Penny Black @ Allsorts -  Springtime
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Case -  I have used the blue and a cat stamp
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes
Make it Monday - Anything goes linky party

What a lovely surprise to see that Sue had awarded me with this

The Liebster Award takes it's name from the German word
meaning  Beloved, Dearest or Favorite.
It is given to bloggers who have a small following - under 200 followers.
As part of the tradition it is passed along to 5 bloggers that have
motivated and inspired.
To accept the award you must:

2. Post the award to your blog
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers
that you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment on the 5 blogs to let them know that they have been offered this award.

Mr Tom

Don't miss my CANDY ends March 7th HERE
Here is a cute Kitty from LOTV isn't he just gorgeous?
Am  following the lovely Sketch on Papertake Weekly this time
I have had all sorts of trouble getting away from green everything
I picked up lead me straight back to it.
Think I got a little too much light on this photo
as the colours are not a true representation.
I worked with Bazzill Ruby Red and Quartz.
Little pieces of lace I had laying around
Mr Tom got the treatment with my copics but I must start
being braver and trying some of the darker colours.
Am such a pastel person.
I distressed the edges with Spun Sugar and then stickled them with Crystal.
The words are computer generated.

Am entering this in:

S J Papercrafts -  Flowers
Colour Throwdown challenge 181 - Colour inspiration
Make it Monday - Where anything goes

Thank you for your visit and for your lovely comments they make my day.
Also a great big welcome to my newest followers.
