Same but different

I was asked to make a thank you card so having fallen in love with

this card I made decided to make another.

This time I used Squeezed Lemonade.

Once I had stamped the flowers I embossed them with clear
glitter embossing powder.
Then went back to fill in the colour between them.
After cutting out the sentiment 3 times to give it dimension.
I covered it with glossy accents.
I think I love this one even more than the first.

Pink for a little girl

I was asked to make a card for a new little baby girl,
so everything had to be pink.
The lace I found in my sewing box when looking for
knitting patterns and the bow, which is a better match than it looks,
was a left over from my daughters ballroom dancing days.

The ducks and rattle are SW dies

Flower power

This morning when I was just floating around You Tube
I came across this video which I found intriguing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5vQZKQu38Q&t=19s

I only have a few Oxides myself which I haven't used as yet
and thought I would give it a go.
My effort is not distressed, distressing is not my thing at all.
First I had to find a large stamp  and after
rummaging around all my stamps I had a light bulb moment.
Didn't I own a drawer full of PSX Botanicals?

This was so quick to make and I love the way the flower is
sort of peeping through a mist of colour.

It was stamped with Scattered  Straw.  Being a wood
mounted stamp you have to be careful not to over lap.
However this doesn't matter too much as you are blurring  the
stamping anyway.
I did sponge the edges of the card with Memento  Desert Sand
and also I painted the white areas of the flowers with my glitter pen.

I chose to use this SW sentiment as I have so many
birthday cards to make.

Hope you all have a wonderful week end coming up.

Pansy Borders

Today I have 3 of a kind to show you.
These pansy borders have been lying around in my craft room for quite a while.
What I intended them for I cannot remember but as my clean up
progresses { not very quickly I have to admit } I was
determined to use them.
I embossed the lower part of the card and then hunted out
larger scraps of coloured card to matt them onto.
I was lucky with all 3 having only to trim them down very minutely.
I coloured the pansies to match or contrast to the coloured card.
stamped out some more pansies and 3D the middle 3 flowers.
It was easy to find ribbon to match as I have heaps that I like to stroke
or just admire and forget to use.
Added a bit of sparkle to the flowers too.

That stamp must be 25 years old or even older.
Bought in Melbourne from the Krafty Lady

After a cool day yesterday it is not quite so smoky today
but my eyes are still very sore from the smoke that lingers.

All on a Summer day

The Bumblebees, Bees and Butterflies all love my Buddleia
I took this early morning as with the heat they are not very active during the day.

This was taken at about (9pm) just showing the smoke in the air.
Tasmania is taking a heavy pounding from fires caused
by a dry thunder storm the other week.

The smoke has completely obliterated the mountain which is usually visible
over the foot bridge.

Continuing my clear up of my craft room I am making a real effort to use
all of my stash some of which has not seen the light of day for years.
This card has brought out leaves punched with the Beech leaf.
The flowers were stamped with an Artee stamp probably over 20 years old.
I found a scrap of Copic blending paper to stamp these 5 out and
coloured with my copics than fussy cut.
The blue gingham paper was hiding in a packet of scrap papers.
It reminds me of Mum's best pinny.
I finished it off by using a glitter brush on the flower centres.

A very glittery Christmas card

A very Happy New Year to everyone.
Especially to Hazel and all her Design Team at
and

Here is the last card that I scrambled to make before the 25th.
Since then I have found at least 2 hidden under the MESS on my desk!!!

The holly leaves were sitting on the table so I went with them
and some green sparkly card stock.
There is glitter around the border where I stuck down 3m DS tape
and sprinkled the glitter over it.
The berries are pearls coloured with Copics.

Today I have begun a massive clear up in my craft room.
All very well but truth is I still do not have the stamina to keep
going for too long have to have a break then tend to get side tracked.
