Pearly Christmas

I don't have any sequins so pearls it is.

It is a little hard to see from this but I have
embossed snowflakes on the white card and added the pearls on them
I started with red pearls but they just didn't look right so off they came.
The gorgeous stamp is of course a Penny Black a new one that I had been itching
to use, just think he is so cute.
Finished off with lots of glitter of course.

Am entering this in:
52CCT- sequins and or pearls
Make it Monday - Anything goes.

I have about 10 days of super slow internet now as I have used my allowance all up
so blog hopping will take a back seat.
Of course I should increase my internet allowance
but I have such a good deal it would mean paying more than triple per month to do so.

Thanks for dropping in.

Wow.......

................It's not a Christmas card bet that was a bit of a shock to you all

Felt like a bit of a change today so went looking for something to do
and found The Lollypop Ladies who are wanting Musks with spots.
Didn't think I had anything near the colour and nothing spotty but look what I found.
and just enough of the orchid card to use as a mount.
The flower stamp is a Victoria's secret and I have no idea of the sentiment.
The card is very CAS because I followed the sketch at

Christmas lights

I have dug out another old favorite stamp this time a Hero Arts
to light up my Chrissy card.
I stamped this with black Fabrico and used psychedelic embossing powder.
They really catch the light, but you can only glimpse it right at the top
the camera did not reproduce it well.
The smallest of my oblong dies was just the right width to cut out a frame
but not long enough so I had to move it down.
The greeting was a Lucy stamp from years ago too and this I stamped
with the Fabrico but used clear embossing this time.
I used liquid pearls for the stars and the sparkle.
The lights were coloured with my copics

From this photo you can have a peek inside and see that
I mounted the frame.
Some bakers twine completes the card.
Not the usual Christmas colours.

Am entering this in:
52CCT - Baubles
Christmas stamping AYL - I used heat embossing, Twine and Copic markers
CHNC - Window or frame
CHNC 2-Anything goes

Shades of green

I am not going to tell you my first card got filed in the waste bin.
I have only scraps of green card left so have put it on my shopping list
but don't know when I will get to shop.
We do have a Quilt and craft fair coming up in Hobart
at the end of the month but doubt there will be much in the way of
paper craft there.
However I found these trees cut from an old Sizzix die in a box marked Xmas things.
Amazing I am not usually so well organised.

Now am quite happy with this very CAS card

Am entering this in:
 52CCT - Shades of green
CHNC - Used die cut or Punches

Lots of Holly

Glad to say my recovery is going well now have begun driving again and
that is fine until I have to back out of a parking spot so looking for lots of easy parking.
It is good to be feeling human again.

This is the week 52CCT have a sketch to follow.
However I am never sure whether I will follow closely or go off on a tangent
I just go where my card takes me.

As you see have used lots of Holly today.  The stamp is an old PSX one from 1999
and one of my favorites though it hasn't been used for a long time now.
It always stamps up so beautifully, have coloured with copics and then
used dimensional magic.
The very tiny holly stamp was from
Amazing creations don't think the company still exsists.
I coloured that with gel pens as without colour they were lost
The greeting is from LOTV.
Don't know where the holly paper came from but have been saving
this up for a while, now only have scraps left.

Am entering this in

Thank you for dropping by and for all your kind comments.

It's been a long time...

.........a long time between cards.
I found myself back in hospital on a drip suffering from Viral Vertigo.
This is something that I would not wish on anyone a miserable complaint
it has taken so long to begin to feel normal again
and even now I struggled a bit to come up with this card.

Just a simple card.  I cut out the circle in the front made a border to go around it and
attached the Santa inside the circle.
The Santa was cut from some paper by Raspberry Road and makes a lovely topper.
It is finished with some bakers twine and a sentiment tag from LOTV.

Am entering this in :
52 CCCT - Use Bakers twine
Make it Monday - Anything goes

I really can't think any more.

What a week

Yes that was the week that was.

Last weekend my husband complained of a sore mouth and throat.
On Sunday I woke to find he looked as if he had had a smack in the face.
Honest  I never touched him.  He had the biggest fat lip you ever did see.
Monday we went to the Dr who diagnosed shingles.
Poor love he is in such a state.  The rash is in his mouth down his throat and now coming out on his face as if he doesn't have enough ill health to put up with.
Finding him things to eat has been the worse part as he cannot chew
and it is painful to swallow.

So this week has not been one for getting much crafting done
and I had a lovely parcel of goodies arrive too
but no time to play much.

However I have managed this.

Following the sketch on 52 CCT  and using Snowy one of my new Penny black stamps.

I paper pieced his hat and scarf with left overs from the background paper
so he is snug and warm
Haven't any idea what the dotty paper is just a scrap from my box of bits.
The lace is my new crochet border from Memory box.

Now I must get back to the patient.

Christmas Box

This week 52 CCT want something other than a card etc
so I have made a little box.
What I put in it we will have to wait and see nearer the time.
I made this little box and then found I had not saved the site for the instructions
which is really very naughty of me as one should give credit where credit is due.
So if anyone knows where the pizza box instructions are
please let me know so that I can add the link.

It is very cute just 4x4 inches { I didn't convert to centimetres}
I have made it very plain just dry embossed snowflakes.
I had forgotten I had that embossing folder. Then I have added some red rhinestones.

I punched a border around the outside and added some white grossgrain ribbon
and a bow.

Ribbon and Bows

52 CCT are asking to see ribbon and bows this week.
What a chance to show off my Angel stamp from LOTV complete with
ribbon and bow.
Now i thought I still had alittle narrow gold ribbon but must have finished it up.
however i think the white with the gold probably shows up just as well.
Both the card and patterned paper comes from Kazazz,
from their Earth tones collection and I love this
particular patterned paper which fits Christmas just pefectly.
I have used masses of glitter the stars ,the wings and even down the centre of the fir.
Didn't like the empty space at the top so added some pearls in groups of three so it fits
Hazel's CHNC of 3 of something

See what a good girl am I even finished the inside. the wording does show up
better than that I can assure you.

I am recovering from my op but so slowly but
could be 3 months before I am on top of everything again.
At least I am back driving but only locally as yet.

Am enterin ghtis in:
52 CCT - Ribbon and bows
CHNC - 3 of something
CHNC extra - Anything goes
Make it Monday - Anything goes

Say it with Flowers

Today I am following a sketch at CAS challenge

I have ended up with 2 cards because after making the first one I thought it was
rather too much but having made it you be the judge.

It is really quite a step away from my usual with the button embossing and the
buttons in the flower centres
My daughter has decided that she would like the card for a 60th birthday
that is coming up.

The ribbon I have had for such a long time saving it up {as you do}
and not wanting to cut it.
The stamp is a Hero Arts from 2000 which I have coloured with tombows
and cut out.

The centre I dabbed with the corner of my embossing pad sprinkled
on Psychedelic embossing power and heated.

You can see it better on this photo.

Also used the Tombows for the greeting.

Am entering this in:
CAS Challenge - Sketch
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Challenges 4 everyone - Anything goes

One Cold Day

I really like this and that is unusual because I am seldom happy with the end result.
Just the Blue and White does have a cold look about it.
This card will go North at Christmas to those who really get the cold weather.
I was really playing Bingo with the ABC Christmas challenge
following the Pearls, Blue, Lace line
but it also takes in the
Ribbon, Animal, Die-cut line as well.
I edged the white card with BG000 and added some Frosted Lace  stickles
to the ice and snowflakes.
Am entering this in:
ABC Christmas Challenge - Bingo
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge- White or vanilla + one other colour
Christmas cards all year round - Sparkle and bling.
CHNC 2 - Anything goes.

Pleased to say that I am now feeling good and beginning to appreciate the
good work that my surgeon has done.
Should get the OK next week.
Then it is back to my morning walk and exercise.
Used to walk the beach at 6am but its getting dark in the mornings now.

Thanks for dropping in your are most welcome.

Golden Christmas

52CCT are challenging us with White ,Black and Gold this week
and I had a couple of false starts until I decided to make a card
to suit a certain couple I know which made it very easy.
The gold ribbon matched the gold foil card so I used a different gold cord to attach the
greeting so that it would stand out.
That star embossing folder is so useful as the stars can be cut out and used
separately

Couldn't get rid of the glare on this photo so the gold strip looks a different colour
but really it is the same as the single star and the ribbon.

Am entering this in:
52CCT - White Black and Gold.
CHNC 2 - Anything goes
Make it Monday-  Anything goes
