Card No 2

Here is my second card for Less is More  this week.  I think that must be a first for me.
You will notice that I haven't used white cards either this week.
This stamp that I really love is a Kaiser and find it is just so useful.
Think I might send this card to my niece who is going through a
hard time just at the moment as it looks so cheerful.
Second entry for  Less is More- Buttons or Ribbon.

I did it again......

Would you believe I took photos again without the chip in the camera.
The camera is so clever but doesn't tell me NO CHIP.
It does tell me NO BATTERY so why NO CHIP?

We woke to a heavy frost again this morning.
Some winters we get a couple of frosts for the whole winter.
This year I don't think we have been frost free all of July.
My bones don't like it at all

I really don't know what happened to last week I got nothing done
that I can see but still didn't find time to get any cards made.
So here is my first card for Less is more
and guess what I have another but Picasa had a hissy fit again
and would not put them on the same page.

Am not a person who likes Buttons on cards but ribbons I love .

Thanks for all your comments but I can only leave comments on those who have a
locked comment area and as yet no one can come up with any solution as to why.
I would love to stop and say Hi to more of you.

Tilda wants a hug

Today I am following the sketch on the Just Magnolia challenge blog.
It started out with me thinking it was going to be shabby chic,
but as so often happens the card took over and I have ended up with something quite different.
I have distressed around Tilda and the sentiment with Antique Linen but I think I really need to take a class on distressing as I either put it on too thick or not thick enough.
Having used sponges and daubers for so long I find the applicator not easy to get used to.
Tilda was coloured with my copics and the baubles in her hair
are to cover up the holly as she is a Christmas Tilda.
This is Tilda wants a hug so the greeting seemed so apt.
I am entering this in:
Just Magnolia-  Sketch
Totally Tilda-Distressing
Totally Gorjuss- Summertime  {Far from it here}
Magnolia stamp lovers- Summer flowers

Another Quick card

I do hope you are all warmer than we are it is 10 degrees and snow right down the mountain.
We haven't had a winter this cold for some years now.
As long as it means we will get a nice summer but not too hot thanks.
Anything with legs you say and a lovely excuse for me to make another
super quick Chrissy card.
I coloured this with my Tombows and now I know why I like my copics so much.

This is for

Flowers

I have just been trying another use for some of those strips of paper we all have.
Making flowers with border punches.
I am very pleased with the results though think I need to do a little more shaping.
The white ones I have sponged with
top- spun sugar
bottom- worn lipstick.
Took the photo with the punches beside them for my own benefit really.

Have a nice day.

Shades of Blue

I would like to thank you all for your concern re mydaughter and tell you she is
back home and although I haven't yet seen her she was on top form
when I talking to her on the phone.

I know I am getting a little late this week but the first card I made was certainly not a CAS card.
I don't get a lot of time for card making in these shorter days
as the lighting in my room is not good so no crafting after lighting up time.
CARD 1

However I think card no 2 perhaps will fill the bill.

This is complete with faux stitching and rhine stones coloured with
Copic B29.

Lots of lovely cards again this week ladies, sorry I still can't talk to you.

Thanks for dropping by you are most welcome.

Another chrissy card

This week at CHNC- anything goes.
What fun I have had this card made for a while now but it was out of sight
and I forgot about it.
Trying and that is the operative word to clean up my desk I came across it and
have only today photographed it so with a challenge of anything goes it is perfect.
Don't ask me what the DP was I have cut the label tag off.
It was double sided the stars on the back.
As the trees were glittery I added some glittery card and stickles to Tilda.
I lso added fun fur to her hat which I glittered too.
I hope you like her.

Three of a kind

My daughter is in Melbourne now and fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Lets hope they can do the simple operation and she wont have to have a pacemaker.
Not of course that any operation is simple.
At least she got away this time lets hope there is no more ash problems this week so she
can get back as planned.

Less is more - sketch
What a lovely lot of cards already on display well done everyone.
Now you will know that I have been to see some of you but for some reason I can't leave comments on some blogs and that includes the Less is more one.
Chrissie and Mandi are doing such a wonderful job and I just want to let them know that.
Why Norton should let me comment on one blog and not another I really do not know.
However having got that off my chest onto this weeks card.
I just delved into my box of bits and found a piece of card the right size for a base.
One skinny piece of yellow and an off cut of copic paper.
The stamp is one that I got at a discount store
contains 12 flower stamps that would not stick onto the acrylic block.
I very nearly threw them away until I thought of my 2 way glue.
It works a treat.

Penny Black Critter

I thought it was time I took another  Penny black challenge
as I love my PB stamps.
PB Saturday challenge is celebrating their 3rd birthday so what better time to join in.
You will notice that I have used black AGAIN.
I must put my black card away and try something else.
Have had this little hedgie coloured up for some time now
and just had to use him.
Having said that I have no idea now what colours I used as my sticky note has gone that is if there was one in the first place.

This is for Penny Black Saturday challenge - Critters
Penny Black at Allsorts - Your favorite
They are all my favorites so what do you choose?

It is cold 14 degrees, windy and threatening rain here.
Hope it's better where you are.
The bulbs are coming up and the Cootamundra Wattle is nearly out so roll on spring.

Thank you for dropping in you are most welcome.

In the Pink

For someone who says they don't like black I find I have been using a lot of it lately.
Must says though it certainly sets things off and is lovely with pink.
Thank you to Paola for giving us this colour I had a ball with it.

Have been through my stamps to find ones to put in the background.
Do have some Magnolia ones on order but was impatient to try out ones I already had.
It took me several goes before I got this right.
I tried the sky with DI Broken China this time.

Elegant

It is raining thank goodness as we so badly need it.
We had several quite mild days last week and the wattle is beginning to come into
full bloom so it felt like spring.

Now I must really hurry with this to catch the posting at House of cards.
