Blue flowers

Our youngest daughter took her Dad out for a coffee this morning
giving me an hour to have a play in my craft room.
A rare treat to have the house to myself.
Unfortunately the weather was not kind to them so
they were not able to give him a walk in his wheelchair.
Just getting him out of the house though was a treat for him and me.

Oh shame the blue look so different in the photo.
It is funny how the camera brings out the different hues in the card and paper
The card base was linen card that I have had years.
Saving it for the occasion that never came.
The blue card was out of my bit box as was the scrap of white.
Only another 999 pieces to go!!!!

The tag came from a new Heartfelt Creations pad of 12 x 12 papers
as did the paper on the inside of the card.
Sneek peek below.

I have 3D-ed a couple of the flowers on the tag and cut out an extra one
to go over the twine bow.
The scallops were cut with SB Bracket borders 1 die

  3. Margaret a beautiful card, love the blue as its a good contrast to the White. Maybe your husband didn't get a walk, but he got a change of 4 walls, which can do as much good, and you got some play time. Hazel x

  4. Hi Margaret
Don't know how the blue was supposed to look but it looks a beautiful shade to me. Terrific card and that tag is gorgeous.
Glad you and hubby got some time to do something different.
    Best wishes.

  6. Hi Margaret, just saw your link at another blog and followed over to enjoy your lovely blue card. How wonderful that your daughter came to take her Dad out for coffee and give you a little craft time. You put it to worthwhile use it's easy to see. Love the lacy scallop border on the pretty blue & white, and the stitching on the border is dear to my heart. Love the way you've done the tag with the pretty blue flowers too. Just a lovely, lovely card. I'll be joining as your newest follower, and hope you'll have time to come visit me if you can. Happy wkend, TFS & Happy New Year too.

  7. Oh, totally forgot to say I really love that gorgeous brilliant rose you have on your blog banner. I saw a rose just this color in a flower garden when we visited Franklin Roosevelt's family home in Hyde Park New York many years ago. It looked so velvet in texture that you just wanted to touch the petals (but one could not, fortunately for the flower bush!!).
