Blue Skies

The last 2 weeks have been spring like with clear blue
skies and above average temps.
One could be fooled into thinking it is October not August.
Hope we wont regret it later.

This is the Gum tree over our back fence.
Check out that sky.

That bundle of sticks on the left of the picture is the Magpies nest.
She has become very protective of her nest but she is not sitting yet.

The last couple of weeks has been so frustrating as I have been
out of internet time and not only was it painfully slow it kept dropping out
so I had to give in and negotiate a new bundle with Telstra.
Have been hanging out for NBN to be turned on
as the cable has been a few yards from the front door since Jan 2013.
Although I got my extra GB's of internet they didn't speed it up
until I rang and complained.

Haven't had a lot of time for crafting either but did manage this card.

Using up some of my lovely mirror card and sparkly gold ribbon
Sponged with  Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink.

And here is a look at the inside.
The stamp and greeting are both Penny Black's.

Hope I will just squeeze in before the cut off time at:

  1. This is absolutely beautiful Margaret, very elegant and lots of sparkle! A wonderfully decorated inside too which I'm always very happy to see!

It has been lashing with rain here today in the UK so I'm very envious of that clear blue sky! We had magpies nesting in an oak tree at the bottom of our garden earlier in the year and we rescued one of the babies that was sitting on the ground and a neighbourhood cat was after it, the parents were making a right racket. It was a bit of a palava involving a stepladder and a plastic box but we managed to get the baby to a safe spot where the parents could see it was out of danger. All grown up and gone away now!

Thanks so much for playing along with us at 52 {C}CT, it's so nice to see you again! Hope your internet is speedy and reliable from now on and that we see you again soon! Ruth x

  3. Hi Margaret
Love the sparkle from the gold. . . . .bit of a magpie there myself lol!
    Super and festive.
Not keen on magpies. They are bullies around here, scaring my blackbird family away.
Have you lost the snow on the top of the mountain yet?
    Have a great weekend.

  5. What a really elegant looking card Margaret and what wonderful blue skies, we could do with a few of those in the UK, Summer came and went but never really put in an appearance.

Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us at Panny Black and More challenge.
