Talk about cold I don't think it has got to double figures today.
At least it is not as bad as yesterday with the rain.
Had a horrid drive home after visiting hubby just on lighting up time.
We do badly need the rain to give the ground a good soaking.
This afternoon I have been to an afternoon tea at the care home where hubby is.
This was for residents of the village to come and meet residents in the home.
So my hospitality skills were put to the test helping to make tea and coffee
for those present. It is many a long year since I was working in the
hospitality industry and I was finding it hard work to remember
2 orders at a time!!!!!.
Today I am playing with 52 CCT who have a colour challenge.
Although my card doesn't look anything like theirs
it was the snowman that inspired me.
Thanks for dropping in.
Margaret M
Very cute! I love the splash of red poinsettia matching your fab snowman's hat. I can never remember tea orders either! :-) Thanks so much for joining us at 52CCT, April x

ReplyDeleteI think your snowman is fab and I do like his gorgeous red hat, and that poinsettia too. Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week!
ReplyDeleteMargaret, firstly I have to apologise I thought I had commented on your beautiful card, I love the simple design with that splash of red, it's great. Since coming home from Canada I seem to be losing track of what ihave done and haven't. Weather here not so good, again very overcast and not warm, but I won't complain seeing how you have frost.
ReplyDeleteMy liittle gift bags are from using my XCut gift bag die but with me altering it, a bit of cutting down etc. I show what I have done back on a post I put up at the beginning of May. Glad hubby is still getting on in the home, and I am more than sure your help was much appreciate it. Keep warm. Hazel x
Margaret, your snowman card is just delightful with the red, white & black motif. The black really pops the red, and I love the poinsettia that blazes forth. Like the black mat on Snowy as well. Wish I could send you some of the heat we're having, but alas...don't know how to do that! I'm so glad you were able to participate in the tea at Fred's new residence, and doubly glad that things are beginning to settle into a routine for each of you. Take care. Big hugs & TFS
ReplyDeleteHe's such a happy snowman and he looks great with the red poinsettia. Thank you for joining us at CASE-ing Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThat snowman is having a jolly ol' time! Very very cute card, Margaret. Thank you for sharing your project with CASE-ing Christmas. A new challenge has started and I hope you’ll join us again.
