Who remembers this.

Yes who remembers this Penny Black stamp a
lot of you will be too young to have ever seen it.
I think it would be over a decade since I have inked it up.
So when Penny Black  Saturday challenge wanted flowers,
I opened one of my drawers of PB stamps and this one jumped out.
I really enjoyed colouring it with my copics, used so many

Had a hard time covering the jars with dimensional magic as it has gone thick and gluggy
Probably need some more.
Then added some glitter to the flower centres just to give it a zing.
The words were computer generated

This rather reminds me of the jam jars we used to keep in the kitchen
to put the flowers both dead and alive that the children use to bring in after going for a walk.

Have followed the sketch at A Gem of a challenge.

My first Digi

Happy Australia day to everyone.  Did you all have lamb on the barbie?.
Here is one who didn't as I don't eat meat anyway.

Firstly I would like to say a  big HELLO to my new followers.
Thank you so much for joining me.

Yes this is the first time that I have ventured into Digi land.
Have always been a stamp person and sort of feel that it is cheating,
however I came upon this cutie on the Whoopsidaisy site,
she is a freebie so I took a deep breath and plunged in.
Of course as she is a freebie I have to enter her in the
Whoopsi Daisy challenge-Bling it

I don't really feel that I have done her justice.
She is coloured with my copics and I have added a punched out flower to her dress
also added some spica pen to her flowers and dimensional majic to her shoes.
The strips of pearls came from the reject shop, the greenery was
punched out with a Leone Em punch and the flower is
a retro one. I just love that punch.

I followed the sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp
Had a sudden panic in case they didn't accept a digi but they do.
Panic over.

So I am entering this in
Sunday Sketch and stamp- Sketch
Whoopsi Daisy challenge- Bling it
Make it Monday- Where anything goes

Stamps versus Digi's the jury is still out.

Thank you for dropping in you are most welcome.

Lavender and lace

Isn't Lavender and Lace the title of a film?   It starred Judi  Dench.
Must think on that.

This is for Lili's little fairies challenge.  Gave me a chance to ink up
another of my LOTV stamps.
Also to use some of my beautiful new lace that I bought last year and haven't used before.
Also the Grand Nestie that only arrived after Christmas.
It needs a bit of care cutting it out with my Big Shot as it doesn't
all come out in one go and you have to move it up.
Now I know that it looks as if Emma is walking uphill but she did not look so good
being set on the card straight.
This is going to be a 70th birthday card for a friend.

The flower and the leaves were cut from other border lace and coloured with copics.
I originally thought the flower was too small but it does balance out.
Emma was coloured with my copics and the butterflies got the stickles treatment.

Oh just remembered the name of that film it was
"Ladies in Lavender"
Well I got the Lavender bit right.  One out of 2 isn't bad.

Sweet talk

It has been a bit warm here for the last 2 days 32-33 and ended with a
thunder storm late last night.
Thankfully that has cleared the air and relieved me from
having to water pots and plants today.
It was 21 when I got up but dropped back to 17 now it is on 20 just nice.

It is a long time since I stamped up a Penny Black or entered a PB challenge
so I thought it was about time I did.
Have always loved this stamp so don't know why it has lain
neglected for so long.
It is coloured of course with my copics
with a dash of Faded Jeans DI for the sky.
Even went mad and did some faux stitching, couldn't even
sew straight using a ruler. LOL
The centre of the big flower is a small Prima that I have
dabbled with a yellow copic
and the leaves are petals of a bigger Prima flower also treated with copics.

These adorable Angels

Everything I have tried to do this last week has been binned.
Really have been struggling to put 2 pieces of paper together let alone get them straight.
Blame it on the Tennis, too much and next week will be worse with the
Australian Open.
I do draw the line at watching the screamers though.
Lili's little fairies want to see your favourite LOTV stamp.
This is the only one that I have inked up so far { hang my head in shame }
but I know as soon as I do ink up
any others I shall love them as much as I love this one and then which will be my favourite?
So I took the opportunity to make my first Chrissy card of the year.
Not your usual colours.
The DP I know is Hot off the Press  but it would be well over 10 years old. I have a whole book of it and have only ever cut into a few pages.
My New Year resolution is to use up paper that I have had sitting around for years.
The card is Bazzill crisscross Arizona and Cassa.
The Angels were coloured with my copics and so were the rhinestones.
Then everything got distressed with Antique Linen.

My first card for 2012

This is my first card  for the New Year.
This is for a 30th birthday and I was asked for no cuties and no bling
but I was allowed the ribbon and a few pearls.
Hard! you're telling me.
I have to admit I do like things very plain and simple myself
but I do love my PB's and Tilda's and LOTV.

Anyway I took a deep breath and this is what I came up with
and I am really quite pleased with it which is saying something as
mostly I want to change something or wish I hadn't added this or that.

The Swiss dots folder came out as you can see.
What ever did we do before that came out?
It fits in anywhere is so easy to contiue over a larger section as I have on the inside.

The punch is an EK one which I love and i have experimented with it.
don't you just love the corners on the inside section?
Will be using that again for sure.

The colour hasn't come out too well. It is Limeade Bazzill and is
really striking over the Black.

Am entering this in :
Make it Monday- Where anything goes

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year period with family and friends
Fun over it's back to work.

Sooo hard when January is just about solid tennis on TV.

Thanks for visiting you are very welcome.

my top 5 for 2011

I am joining Debby in picking my favourite 5

As it is New Years eve here I have endevoured to pick out my top 5 cards for 2011.
I had to leave many that I first chose and I am not sure that I have the right ones now!!!

This is one I did for a coffee and cream challenge with little shy Tilda.

Now red is not really me but I love the clean lines.

This one says summer to me and that is what we have right now.

Oh dear I have chosen all Tilda's

So we will have something different for No 5
A white on white and I assure you the flowers are all white
even though they seem to have a red tinge.

May 2012 be good to every one.

Many thanks for  your friendship over the past 12 months.
See you next year.

For a very good friend

My Chrissy card are all done not all posted but at least all made.
So today I thought I would show you a card that I have
made for a very good friend who is just about to go into surgery
for lung cancer.
Posted by Picasa

Have followed the sketch on Penny Black Saturday challenge
and used this delightful stamp which I think says it all.
I used DI Spun Sugar around the edges
and coloured with my copics.
Using E13-15-17, C1-3-5, G21 YG03-63 Y35
It amazes me how so many people can take the same sketch and yet come up with
so many different cards just take a look at the DT cards.

In the Red

Sorry to hear about the flooding in parts of Queenland and NSW
down in this end of Tassie
we could do with more rain .

No I haven't finished my Chrissy cards yet so here is another one for you.
I have brought out the lovely snowman again.
The greeting is a LOTV one.  I think they are really special.
The DP is an odd piece I had left over from something I did a couple of years ago.
It's from Kaiser I think and although it isn't Chrissy paper.
I feel it fits the bill.
I embossed the white card with the Swiss dots added a piece of ribbon.
A little stickles and some glittery snowflakes that are not easy to see
but look good in real life.

A touch of glitter

Good Morning not so warm here today and they say rain again,
well I will beleive that when I see it.
Though it could well rain as I have a load of towels in the washing machine!
Posted by Picasa

Thought I would have a stab at a bingo challenge
that Southern Girls are offering and as it closes tomorrow must get it in.
I have chosen Embossing [dry], Ribbon and Glitter.
I ran out of red card at one point so had to improvise. Shhhh.  Not a word to anyone.

This lovely Lili of the valley image. Hope the glitter shows up.
Have stickled the muff and the snow and mounted it onto glitter card.
The ribbon also is very glittery.

Christmas Marci

They keep telling us we are going to have showers but none eventuate
we badly need the rain, it just seems to all be going north of us.

I had completely forgotten this card that I made must be around the beginning of October.
Only remembered it because I will be teaching this on Satuday
and I know I have several kits to make up as well.
This one takes a lot of card so there will be quite a lot of cutting out to do.
Copics used:
Hair E37 E35 E33 E31
Skin E50 E53 R20
Hat and waistcoat G21 G29
Dress and boots  R35 R46
Staocking R35 R46 G21
Panda C7
This is quite a big project as there is a lot on the inside too but I didn't take pics.. sorry
This will be my last class for this year no more till February.
