A Cool Dude

Todays card has been made for members of the family who don't do CUTE.
I know he is such a cute little fellow but I haven't rosied his cheeks

or added any glitter or gloss just tried to make him COOL.
They are not really Christmas colour either are they?
but I really like it and will be making more like this.
Now that really is something as I hate making more than one version of the same card

From this picture you can see how I have continued the theme inside the card
and how I have raised the layers on the front.
by the time I finished I had the dots and dashes going well so
should have done the inside first me thinks.

Flower power

I couldn't wait to ink up my new arrivals from LOTV
yes I know this is one of the 3 Christmas bears but he is so right
for the challenge this week.
The Nitwit papers are so beautiful too.
The flourish is a new one too by Die - namics
and the flowers are all with my retro punches.

He is just so cute don't you think?

Lilac and Lace

Have just received a parcel from LOTV but this lovely lady is one I bought
from them last year.
I am just dying to ink up my new ones they all look so cute.

It feels like snow here today after the lovely weather we had a couple of weeks ago.
So it was no problem to get into the groove and make a snowy card.
Although we did get the bill for the electricity today
and that was certainly a shock to the system.

Anything but Square

Firstly I would like to say welcome to my newest followers.
Thank you for wanting to connect with my blog and hope you will enjoy what you see.

Couldn't resist these lovely stamps when I saw them as a freebe on a magazine.
Used up some odds and ends of card and designer paper to make this round side step card.
Think I was really longing for the weather to warm up when I made this hence
the dreaming of summer days greeting.
The circle I cut out with my Making Memories circle templates.
Of course the lovely wee stamp is coloured with my copics.
I really would love to try using DI but so far I have chickened out.

A case of CASE

Christmas stamping all year round want us to Case our first Christmas card.
Above is the first card I made this year and that was in January would you believe.
So I kept with the same sketch and chaged the colours and image.
I didn't think Snowy needed any bows so he has plain ribbon with gold dots on it.
Also had to place the rhinestones differently and change the greeting
but you can see it is the same design.

Covered note pad

After those lovely days we have had snow, wind and rain and really feeling the cold.
The wind over night brought down a Wattle tree over our back fence in the park.
It had just come out into bloom and was looking good and then this morning
it was piled against our fence so I rang the council and the workers were out within an hour
had it all cleared up, mulched and away they went within 15 minutes.

I bought this notepad one with magnets on the back to go on the fridge as I thought
if I made a cover to go over it it would be another Chrissy present ticked of my list.
Thought the pad was rather sweet and below is the cover I made for it.
The image is a Penny Johnson bear with a lovely bouquet of flowers which I have coloured with copics

I didn't go around the outside of the image with stickles this time but coloured the edge with
R20 I think then ran round it with stick glue and dipped it into super fine glitter.
The greeting reads Wishing you a Day full of Happiness from LOTV.

Holly and Berries

Today I have used a Penny Black stamp from 2000.
I use it so much on plain inserts inside Christmas cards and I thought I would let
it shine on the outside instead.
I really played around with my copics on those leaves I used
YG 03- 11
G21 - 28 - 62
Y21
W1
C3
and I am very pleased with the result.
Was going to 3D the leaves as well as the berries but ended up painting them with
smooch glitz instead.
I shaded the background with W1,
edged the border with YR31 then with crystal stickles.

Christmas Bells

We have had the most glorious weather here for the past few days and it is good to have doors and windows open and air the place through and even sit outside for a while.

I am trying to catch up now as I have been on the sick list,
hopefully now on the getting well list.

Am following the sketch on 52 Christmas throwdown
Wish I knew what colours I used on Edwin's boots have a terrible habit of not jotting down
the number of  the copics.  He was coloured ages ago and you know what age does to memory !.
As the DP is music manuscript I thought the bells would fit in nicely.

Penny Black notelets

I found a packet of small envelopes in my stash and decided to make some
notelets to go in them. I made the box to put them in and voila
another Christmas present ready and waiting.

A close up of the 5 cards.

This was a good excuse to pull out some of my small Penny Blacks
that have been hidden away for a while.
I was a bit hesitant to draw the lines around the cards
as i can't draw a straight line anyway
but I became quite bold in the end.

Am entering these in:
Penny Black at Allsorts - Whiskers or wings
Make it Monday - Anything goes linky party.
Gem of a challenge - Animals or Teddies.
Cutie pie challenge - Borders and frames

Jingle Belles sketch

Have followed the sketch on Jingle Belles rock today with the colour combo
of 52 Christmas throwdown.
I found the metalic silver in this very hard as I am not a silver person
First I tried embossing the greeting with silver powder but
all of mine has sparkles in it,  then I managed to find some
silver card that I have no idea I had and it saved the day.
Ended up embossing the greeting with black powder. It is a lovely one to
emboss as it comes up so lovely and glossy.

Have never stamped up the floral stamp before or used the dies
They were "must haves"some time ago.
Amazing how must haves can remain unused for ages.

Perhaps with it warming up slightly I wil find more time to
get into my craft room which is sooo cold.

Am entering this in:
52 Christmas throwdown - Red, Black, White and mettalic silver

Star light star bright

It seems as if we are going to be into winter for the next few days.
Good for those who want to go skiing I suppose but yesterday morning it
was just like spring not a cloud in a lovely blue sky.  AHHHHH........

Today I have followed or tried to the sketch at
52 Christmas throwdown.
The colours look a bit subdued but they are not really but I kept getting
reflection off the stars so I had to turn the light off.

The limeade christmas tree is a Sizzix one that I have found and dragged out
the pink tree has been cut out of designer paper.
I am not going to tell you that I didn't stick it on straight,
it is just the angle I took the photo really.
Hazel wanted our favourite colours this week and I love this hot pink with the jazzy green.
So I am entering this in:

Tilda with shiny shoes

You just wouldn't believe but this has taken me soooo long to make this.
I think I need to leave the flower arranging to the experts and just stick to my punched flowers.
Have followed the sketch on Papertake Weekly.
The photo or the photographer is not very good perhaps both!
Am entering it in

Make it Monday - Anything goes.
